Inquiry updates hearing timetable and announces core participant opening date for investigation into child sexual exploitation by organised networks

The Inquiry has added three preliminary hearing dates to its timetable and announced it will open the investigation into child sexual exploitation by organised networks for core participant applications.

The Inquiry will open the investigation into child sexual exploitation by organised networks for core participants on 06.03.2019.

On that date, the Inquiry will publish an update note and invite applications for core participant status. No applications will be accepted before then.

The Inquiry has also announced the following dates for preliminary hearings in relation to three of its investigations:

02.05.2019, 10.30am – Child Sexual Exploitation by Organised Networks
23.05.2019, 10.30am – Institutional responses to allegations of child sexual abuse involving the late Lord Janner of Braunstone QC
23.05.2019, 2.00pm – Inquiry into the extent of any institutional failures to protect children from sexual abuse within the Roman Catholic Church in England and Wales.
