The ‘dirty’ findings that led to inspectors telling Leicestershire care home it needs to improve

21 February 2019 – Leicester Mercury

A care home with stained toilets, rusty commodes and ‘dirty’ rooms, was told to improve by inspectors.

A team from CQC visited Cherrytree Residential Home in December, after someone raised concerns about the Countesthorpe facility that specialises in caring for patients with dementia.

A report published this month rated the home as requires improvement. There were 32 residents living there when the visit was made.
