Ben and Brian go in to bat for more male care workers

08 March 2019 – Care Info

Two deputy managers from a 60-bed care home in Birkenhead, Merseyside, rated outstanding by CQC are heading a campaign to encourage men to consider a career in care.

Ben Macdougall, 35, and Brian McNaught, 29, work at Anchor’s Birkenhead Court in Bidston. They decided to launch the campaign after they found out the care sector will face a shortfall of one million carers by 2025 to look after the country’s ageing population.
