Inverness care home asked to make improvements

29 March 2019 – Inverness

A care home threatened with closure over a catalogue of failings in basic care standards is now facing a fresh deadline to meet improvement demands.

Elmgrove House Care Home must demonstrate to inspectors that two outstanding requirements have been met by the end of this month.

The Ballifeary Road facility was served with an improvement notice by the Care Inspectorate in September but it managed to avoid being shut down after inspectors found “some progress” had been made during their February visit.

The inspection report underlines that two areas still need to be improved.
