30 September 2019 – Your Local Guardian

Residents at a Croydon care home enjoyed a silent disco by wearing headphones to hear their favourite tunes.

Exposure to music offers significant health benefits to elderly people, encouraging movement, reducing blood pressure and stimulating organs, according to researchers.

Residents in their 80s and 90s, chose their own playlists, some got up to dance, whilst others tapped their feet.
