Droitwich care home residents make ‘pompom keyrings’ for their Chawson pen pals

30 September 2019 – Droitwich Standard

Droitwich care home residents have been making personalised ‘pompom key rings’ to thank Chawson Community First School pen pals who regularly write to them.

The pen pal scheme was created to give those residing at Ravenstone Care Home a special connection to the town’s younger generation and local community.

Ravenstone residents now have over 20 pen pals at the school and were welcomed to a special assembly before the summer, where the children entertained them by singing, telling jokes and just having a chat.
