Care England has welcomed a new research project to support the adult social care sector to innovate.
Professor Martin Green OBE, Chief Executive of Care England, said:
“All too often adult social care has been left out in the cold yet we know that there is an abundance of innovation in the sector. This project will help uncover the reasons as to why some projects work and others fall by the wayside. It will produce a set of tangible recommendations that will help plan and future proof adult social care”.
Researchers led by the Care Policy and Evaluation Centre are launching a new Economic and Social Research Council funded project (SASCI) in January 2020. Led by Dr Juliette Malley, the ground breaking five year project, which brings together a range of partners including Care England, will look at the entire process of innovation in adult social care.
The project launch, chaired by Sir David Behan, takes place on 13.01.2020 at the LSE. More information about the project can be found at www.sasciproject.uk
