Plan to regulate ‘wild west’ beauty filler industry

New proposals by the Scottish Government means that non-healthcare professionals will need a licence to carry out cosmetic procedures such as dermal fillers or lip enhancements.

These procedures are currently available in premises ranging from hairdressers to pharmacies, but ministers want to overhaul the existing system.

A public consultation has been launched and will run until the end of April.
