East Kent Trust: Hospital baby deaths ‘could have been prevented’

An investigation has found that at least seven preventable baby deaths may have occurred at East Kent NHS Foundation Trust since 2016.

Significant concerns have been raised over time about maternity services at the Trust.

The Trust has apologised and admitted it has “not always provided the right standard of care for every woman and baby in our hospitals“.
